The Wrap Up
Two years later, back at Dwayne’s house:
“Good Morning, how is Goldie doing,
Margie?” “He is doing
pretty good, Barb. He is off
the feeding tubes now. He is
still paralyzed from the shoulders down from the spinal damage, and has a
hard time keeping balance sitting in his wheelchair.
He also has difficulty breathing with only one lung fully working.
He will never be the same Goldie, that I know.
I guess we should count our blessings that he is not dead after the
shooting; still with us. I am
going to spend the afternoon with him again today, as usual.”
There was a pause as the girls sipped their morning coffee.
“I have a strange question for you Barb.”
“Go ahead Margie.” Again
there was a pause before Margie spoke.
“You know the presence Golden had, don’t you?”
Yes Margie, felt it many times.”
“You know he was very pure, don’t you?
People would follow him too, by the masses.”
“Yes.” “You know
that they resuscitated Goldie back to life, right?”
“Yes Margie, go ahead” “So
basically he died and came back to life, right?”
“Well, yes Margie, what are you getting at?”
“With the world the way it is, all full of haste, news and
confusion… if Jesus did come back to save us, and died for our sins
again, would we know it?”
